5 fall fashion trends to add to your closet
Honestly can’t believe summer has come and gone, I feel like I just pulled out my summer shorts yesterday, now I’m swapping them for sweaters!
Fall and spring, however, are fun transitional seasons. You can still layer but feel comfortable and cute. While I’m no longer a student, once school is in session that’s my cue to pull out a comfy sweater and sip some chai while curling up to a movie like Hocus Pocus.
Fall also means new fun fall fashion trends! (Well I mean lately I feel certain “trends” are coming back but you get the point.) Either way, it means swapping out the wardrobe and adding some new fun things!
Below are 5 fall fashion trends to add to your closet (I’ve already added them myself!)
All products are found on Amazon 🙂
Flat Brim Hats
I finally buckled down and bought one of these because I am OBSESSED with how they look! Flat Brim Hats instantly add to any fall trend you wear. Whether it’s jeans and boots, or a flowy dress – Flat Brim Hats complete the look!
Gold Hoops and Dainty Necklaces
Dainty gold accessories, in general, are my absolute favorite. I’ve never been a “huge” jewelry person, but adding a simple gold hoop or necklace can instantly elevate an outfit without feeling too heavy or chaotic.
Playing around with different shapes and sizes in hoops and necklaces is also a fun fall trend. Add a layer to a necklace or try a different shape hoop to switch it up.
I feel like this has been an “all year” type trend, in fact, I even wrote about it last fall (see here!) But I’m here for the chunky sneakers or “dad shoe”. Not only is it COMFORTABLE but it makes a statement. I love pairing them with a skirt or some comfy jeans.
Plaid or Tweed Skirts
I’m not talking about Brittney Spears “Baby Hit Me One More Time” type skirt… I’m talking longer more flowy type plaid skirts that fit around the waist. While shorter plaid skirts can be fun in the summer, having a longer skirt can provide more warmth for those chilly fall evenings, while still giving a dainty look.
Tie-Dye Tees & Sweaters
This fall trend definitely took me by surprise, but I’m not mad about it. I lived in a comfy Tie-Dye tee as a kid so to see a comeback with pastel color approach I was on board.
I love the pastel watercolor take on the trend, it still gives color without seeing a blotch of yellow or blue in your face.
What is your favorite fall trend that has made a comeback? Or how do you like to style these trends? Let me know below and happy writing! xx TIna
