Ah the Cherry Blossom Festival, happening in and around Washington D.C for the first week or so of April.
The Cherry Blossom Festival is world renowned for it’s blossoming (literally) pink, white, and even yellow flowers popping up around ever corner in D.C.
Drawing in thousands of people across the world, the best way to see the blossoms in waking up earlier than the worm and heading down to the Tidal Basin to see them in all their glory.
The day we went we braced the rain to be able to see the flowers, but I think it was well worth it in the end. After all, it’s not very often you get to see the city of D.C. covered head to toe in pink!
We couldn’t have asked for a better day with lighting, the overcast feel made it perfect to capture the cherry blossoms without them being overexposed. Plus the rain gave them some extra “
Nothing better than being surround by a bunch of cherry blossoms, am I right? The pink hue the blossoms left on everything was simply magical.
