Why you should be thrift shipping? Well to start everything comes back in style and what better way to find the “latest” trends than by going back in time to find them? But did you also know it reduces the amount of clothing waste we produce? Wait what?
Did you know that on average American’s throw out 81 tons of clothing a year? And that’s just accounting for one part of the world according to the Huffington Post. I understand that it may be easier to throw-out clothing rather than to donate it, but wouldn’t you want someone else to enjoy the excitement that piece of clothing once brought to you? That’s why thrift shopping is amazing, you can reduce your footprint while giving your piece a clothing a second chance.

Other reasons why I love thrifting:
it’s in my budget
can find the latest “styles”
I can get cash back for clothes I turn in
And you reduce your footprint by recycling and making use of old clothing. Just because you thrift something doesn’t mean it’s cheap or dirty, in fact, I’ve found some of the highest quality pieces for my wardrobe in a thrift store! Why not save the planet a bit while adding a keynote piece to your wardrobe?
Plus did you know that local thrift shops will often give you a stipend for old clothes you turn in? I know I’ve made a quick $20 just by turning in some old jeans I don’t wear anymore.
There is no shame in vamping up older clothing like I stated before everything comes back in style!
Below are clothing items that I have found thrifting (did I mention I find lots of Free People clothing?) Take a look to know what I’m talking about!
These are just some of the many pieces I have found while thrift shopping. You never know what you will find in your local thrift store. 🙂 So go out and give a new clothing piece life, and of course happy shopping!
